This a rugged and affordable dot-matrix printer designed for an office that needs a reliable and user-friendly machine for text documents. The TallyGenicom T2130 dot-matrix printer produces clear and legible output quickly to improve productivity and to save time. It can easily be shared by a workgroup to minimise downtime, too, but being an outdated machine, the T2130 isn't the best for choice for the more demanding and fast-paced business.
Design
An industrial design with an understated frame makes the TallyGenicom T2130 forms printer able to blend into any office environment. However, the oversized 9.65-inch deep frame can crowd a standard desktop. The main interface is parallel IEEE1284. Plain paper and continuous forms are supported by a single-roll feeder. The control panel is easily accessible with simplified buttons and a small display screen for viewing the printing status.
Advantages
It prints up to 360 characters per second in monochrome. The T2130 printer can be connected into a network and shared by multiple users, making it a convenient workgroup printer. The high-contrast monochrome printing capability of the TallyGenicom T2130 creates realistic clarity on plain paper and continuous sheets. Replacing the TallyGenicom T2130 ribbon is straightforward and affordable.
Disadvantages
The TallyGenicom T-2130 printer uses dot-matrix printing technology, which is outdated and sluggish when compared to advanced methods like inkjet and laser. It's noisy and doesn't produce laser-sharp quality text. Graphics may appear washed out because of the low 140x240 dpi resolution. Connectivity and media options for the Tally T2130 are limited.
