The TallyGenicom T2340 is a dot-matrix printer designed for rugged office environments looking to save time and improve productivity. The improved design and built-in features of the TallyGenicom T2340 serial dot-matrix printer simplify paper feeding and prevent common printing problems.
An industrial and rugged design with a matte frame allows the TallyGenicom T2340 forms printer to blend well into any office environment. It has a wide frame that spans 24.6 inches, while being 9.7 inches deep and 7.9 inches tall. At almost 10Kg, the T2340 is heavy and requires a sturdy and solid surface for installation. The paper path can handle 3 - 16.5-inch wide sheets. Connectivity is limited to a bi-directional centronics parallel port. The printer runs on 64 kilobytes of memory.
A straight paper path prevents jamming for seamless and continuous printing of forms and documents. Users have the option to add a 150-sheet feeder into the Tally T2340 printer. Forms will not be wasted because of the zero tear-off feature. Letter-quality print can be produced by the 24-pin configuration, in speeds of up to 440 characters per second. The TallyGenicom T2340 serial printer has a higher page cycle, making it versatile for heavy workloads and busy groups. The long-lasting TallyGenicom 2340 black ribbon has a print yield of 4 million characters.
The TallyGenicom T-2340 uses dot matrix technology, which is outdated and sluggish compared to newer technologies. Loud operational noise may disrupt the office. The bulky and large frame of the TallyGenicom T2340 serial matrix printer takes up too much space despite being a desktop printer. Text and graphics can appear washed out because of the limited 360 x 360 dpi resolution.
