The Xerox ColorQube 8580 solid ink printer is the basic model in the maker’s innovative cartridge-less 8580 range. It's network enabled and includes an IPv6 protocol. Designed for use by busy workgroups, the Xerox ColorQube 8580 colour printer has an adjustable input tray capacity and the option of adding a duplexing unit for dual-sided printing. The ColorQube 8580 can print most media in sizes up to A4+.
Design
The Xerox ColorQube printer 8580 boasts a streamlined box-like design and is portable as it measures only 406 x 521 x 368 millimetres, although a weight of 27.4kgs usually requires two people to do the lifting. Port interfaces are Ethernet and USB. The control panel is located on the top fascia and has a small job status display window. Standard paper handling is a 100-sheet multipurpose media feed, a 525-sheet input tray and an output tray for 350 sheets. Busier offices can add up to three more 525-sheet input trays to up the total capacity to 2,200 pages.
