The HP Designjet T620 printer is specifically designed for smaller workgroups that deal with GIS and CAD designs. The Designjet T620 large-format colour printer promises professional results with fair speeds, a large format, signature HP materials, and the 6-ink cartridge system, but it can be expensive and outdated for newer operating systems.

Design

The HP Designjet T620 can print in high resolutions (up to 2400x1200dpi) on different types of media. This large-format 24-inch device is integrated with 2GB of memory and an 80GB hard disk. Users can connect it to their PC via USB or use it in an Ethernet-based network. The HP T620 inkjet printer is best configured using the software because there are minimal controls on-board alongside the small LCD display.

Advantages

The manufacturer's Vivera inks provide vibrant and accurate colours when printing with the Hewlett Packard Designjet T620. Unlike previous models, this device can be integrated into a small network via Ethernet. The 2GB RAM is an improvement, so the HP Designjet T620 prints quite faster at up to 1.7ppm (A1). This Energy Star-certified printer boasts a stand that makes it easier to move.

Disadvantages

The HP Designjet T-620 printer is a discontinued model that has limited compatibility with newer Windows and Mac operating systems. It is also noisy, emitting up to 57 dBA of sound when operating. The limited 1 year warranty is insufficient. Another issue with the HP Designjet T620 is the size because it takes up space at 26 inches deep and 49.7 inches wide, and at almost 47kg, it is not very mobile unless it is propped onto the stand with wheels. The T620 printer is quite pricey to run because it uses too much ink and the cartridges are expensive, too.
