The Brother PT-1280 portable labeller is a reasonably priced and feature-packed label printer designed for the home and office. It can print up to 12mm wide laminated labels and it's easy to use with a fairly large display screen and a neat keyboard, but the Brother P-Touch PT-1280 printer lacks a more reliable power source and it has only one font.
The Brother PT-1280 thermal label printer weighs approximately 0.47Kg and measures 6.28" x 5.94" x 2.36". It has a neatly laid out QWERTY keyboard and 15-character, one-line LCD display screen. The P-Touch PT1280 handheld label machine comes with a built-in cutter.
It's easy to input data into the Brother PT-1280, and it can print in speeds of up to 10mm per second. Users may save up to three commonly used labels. The Brother PT-1280 P-Touch labeller can print on narrow tapes for CD spines. It has five framing options and six auto formats, and the text size is automatically adjusted according to the width of the tape. The handheld design is ergonomic and simple to use. It supports standard laminated, acid-free, non-laminated iron-on fabrics, flexible ID and extra strength adhesive labels.
Date / time stamp and barcodes aren't supported. The Brother P-Touch 1280 label printer can only print in Helsinki font. Users need to purchase six AAA batteries or an optional adapter for it. The PT-1280 labeller uses thermal transfer technology so text may fade when exposed to harsh conditions.
