The Brother PT-2420PC P-Touch is a label printer ideal for businesses. It can deliver all true type fonts and can handle 5 tape widths. The PT2420PC thermal transfer printer is compatible with both PC and Mac operating systems. The integrated cutter of the Brother PT-2420PC PC connectable labelling system is only manual and not automatic.

Design

Measuring 6.1 x 2.6 x 4.8 inches, the compact Brother PT-2420PC label printer takes up little desk space. This label printer comes in silver and black and has a simple design. On top of the P-Touch 2420PC sits an indicator light, the power button and a manual cutter press. On its side, the Brother P-Touch PT-2420PC labelling machine has a small display. This printer can be loaded with 6, 9, 12, 18 or 24mm tape and label adhesives. For connectivity, a serial interface is available and can connect to computers via USB.

Advantages

The Brother PT2420PC has 14 fonts for printing and it has excellent features like vertical printing and barcode printing. It doesn’t take long to deliver labels as the Brother PT 2420PC label maker has a print speed of 10mm/sec. For more label options, this label printer can offer up to 75 frames. Print resolution delivered is 180dpi. Two different software are included for quick editing and creation of labels for the Brother P-Touch PT-2420PC PC connected labelling system.

Disadvantages

The Brother PT 2420PC printer would be better if it had an automatic cutter. It simply prints labels and can only handle one roll of tape at a time. The P-Touch 2420PC labeller can’t work without a computer, unlike other labelling devices that come complete with function buttons and even a keyboard.
