Our Verdict:

The rugged Brother PT-2480 label machine is ideal for industry, electrics and the warehouse. This device, as well as the printed labels it produces, are very durable. The Brother PT-2480 industrial labeller is portable enough on its own but thanks to its carry case, even the AC adapter can be easily taken along to project sites. Labels delivered can be used for tools, shelving, terminal blocks, signage, machinery, electrical equipment or computer hardware.

Design

Measuring 117 x 239 x 81mm and weighing only 610g, the Brother P-Touch PT-2480 label printer is very handy. It also comes in an orange housing colour, making it easy to spot. A rubber grip is on the Brother PT2480 handheld labelling machine and it also comes with a tape cut pause and a manual cutter. Cassette sizes that can be loaded on the device include 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24mm. The Brother PT-2480 portable label printer has a large LCD display and 56 keys, including the on / off key.

Advantages

Repeat printing and auto-numbering of up to 99 labels can be done on the Brother P-Touch PT-2480. Other excellent features on this label machine include 10 templates, 15 frames, text buffer of up to 500 characters, 50 blocks, different font styles and sizes, and auto power on and off. Template and database download as well as upgradable software and backup capability are possible through the USB connectivity of the Brother PT-2480 professional labelling system. Its memory can save up to 2,000 characters. Hard wearing Brother TZ tapes feature six layers of material for greater strength and resistance, perfectly suited for use in the PT 2480 industrial label machine.

Disadvantages

More possibilities for labelling can be offered if the Brother P-Touch 2480 labeller had more than one font in its memory. The USB connectivity doesn’t allow PC-label printing.
