The Brother PT-8000 professional desktop electronic labelling system is ideal for home, commercial, business and even industrial applications. It delivers hard-wearing labels and can be used for high-volume labelling needs. The Brother P-Touch PT-8000 label printer features a typewriter keyboard for ease of use and it also has a large memory. This model can be used in businesses, homes, schools, factories, laboratories, hospitals and museums.
Design
The full-size keyboard on the Brother PT-8000 labelling machine has 62 keys and this model also has an LCD with 2 lines x 24 columns or 7 x 5 dots. It's powered by an AC adapter but optional batteries are also available. The Brother PT-8000 has a cassette compartment that can handle widths of 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24mm. It measures 11.8 x 11.9 x 3.1 inches and weighs a mere 4.4lbs.
Advantages
The Brother P-Touch 8000 desktop labeller has excellent printing features to offer hundreds of labelling possibilities. It can deliver up to 5 lines on a single label and can multi-block 10 prints. Text framing, underlining, mirror printing, vertical printing and repeat printing are also offered. For business purposes, the Brother PT8000 label maker offers barcode generation. It also has a numbering function and can save 3,300 characters in its text storage.
Disadvantages
With a full-keyboard comes a bulky body of the Brother PT-8000 P-Touch electronic labelling system, which can take up space on desktops. This model could use a larger display with back light. It may come with 3 character fonts but the PT-8000 could use label frames and fills, too.
