The Dymo 200 is an electronic label maker that simplifies the task of producing self-adhesive labels. In homes or offices where personal or professional projects need to be well-organised, this compact unit presents an efficient method of doing so. Cassettes of tape in different thicknesses can be slotted in easily. Text is typed into the unit using a keyboard, which includes lowercase or capital letters, as well as numbers and symbols.
Design
Using the Dymo 200 printer, labels can be imprinted with up to 88 characters in total, and the results are clear and durable. The unit takes cassettes measuring 6mm, 9mm, 12mm or 19mm, and these are available in a wide range of colours – by coding products or files by colour, staff can differentiate between various groups or categories and locate what they need quickly. This is a small hand-held device that takes five AA alkaline batteries or an AC adaptor, and is turned on and off using a manual switch. Once the text has been typed in using the large keyboard, it can be checked on the display screen before being printed out on a label.
Advantages
The labels produced using the Dymo 200 label maker are tab-cut, which makes them easy to remove from the backing tape. Labels come with an adhesive coating on the reverse, and once this is exposed, it can be stuck onto a surface. These are robust enough not to peel away, even after extended use. Operators can choose to print the text that they need horizontally, and there are various sizes of font to browse through. It is possible to centre smaller amounts of text for a neater finish or keep the entire label right-justified or left-justified.
