Expert review of the Dymo LabelManager 400 printer
The versatile Dymo LabelManager 400 label maker can work on its own or while connected to a PC. This label printer can handle a wide range of D1 tapes and offers dozens of printing options, from fonts and styles to sizes and boxes, and even background patterns. This model can even accurately print labels that match text from Microsoft Word or Excel and .txt or .csv file. Ideal for multiple users, the Dymo LabelManager 400 electronic label printer has a personal preference key.
Design
The compact Dymo LabelManager 400 labelling machine has a blue and white housing. This model has battery and label cassette compartments on the back and a label exit and built-in automatic cutter on top. The Dymo LabelManager 400 labeller features a large LCD display, QWERTY keyboard, and easy-to-use navigation and function keys. The Dymo LM 400 printer can handle Dymo D1 labels as wide as 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 19mm and 24mm.
Advantages
On standalone mode, the Dymo LabelManager 400 label printer offers 15 sizes, 5 fonts, 11 styles, 7 background patterns and 6 boxes for customising labels. When connected to a PC, options for labelling multiplies as graphics, fonts, logos, and barcodes can be imported. This model has storage for up to 10 labels and can save the last fifteen labels printed. Other excellent features of the Dymo 400 LabelManager include print preview, repeat printing, incremental numbering, justifications, navigation pad and an integrated automatic label cutter.
Disadvantages
The Dymo LabelManager LM 400 label maker still uses AA batteries, which can be a bit wasteful. An AC adapter is available for the LabelManager 400 but is sold separately.
