The Brother DCP-1510 mono laser all-in-one printer is designed for straightforward production of monochrome documents. The space-saving design and hassle-free technology make the Brother DCP-1510 black and white printer ideal for the small office that wants to increase productivity, while affordable toner cartridges help minimise running costs. However, the functions of the DCP-1510 monochrome laser printer are rather limited for the more creative and tech-savvy user.
Design
Featuring an understated and semi-industrial design, the Brother DCP-1510 printer weighs seven kilograms with the toner installed, and measures 385mm wide, 340mm deep, and 255mm tall. The Brother DCP-1510 is a multifunction laser printer that uses electrophotographic method of printing. The paper capacity is up to 150 sheets of plain 80gsm paper, while the output bin can handle up to 50 sheets at a time. The scanner can handle thick media that won't exceed two kilograms in weight.
Advantages
The all-in-one Brother DCP-1510 is fast with speeds of 20ppm to 30ppm, making it suitable for high volume tasks and multiple users. It's efficient, with a copier and a TWAIN-compliant colour scanner that can produce instant ID copies. There's a built-in paper jam-proof technology that reduces waste and downtime. Greyscale images are smooth while text is sharp and crisp because the Brother DCP1510 all-in-one prints them in 2400x600dpi. Operation is also quiet. Genuine Brother DCP-1050 toner is very affordable and helps to drive down the running costs associated with this printer.
Disadvantages
The DCP1510 only prints in black-and-white on plain and recycled paper. The Brother DCP-1510 mono laser MFP is not efficient for growing workgroups because the memory and paper capacity are not expandable. Unlike its sibling, this multifunction device lacks a fax machine and an ADF.
