The Brother DCP-1612W is designed for SOHO users. This compact, all-in-one unit is very reliable and affordable. It offers decent print and copy speeds and offers standard networking connectivity with mobile support. With a high print resolution, this model can deliver professional-quality documents. Only monochrome prints and copies are offered.
Design
The Brother DCP-1612W measures 385 x 340 x 255 mm and weighs 7.2kg. It has a flatbed scanner with a cover, along with a control panel. The control panel has function buttons and a monochrome status display. Below the control panel is the output tray while under that is a 150-sheet paper tray. For connectivity, a USB port is provided.
Advantages
The Brother DCP-1612W boasts a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi for printing and 19200 x 19200 dpi for scanning. The print and copy speed can go as fast as 21ppm/cpm. PC connectivity is not required to be able to copy. The reliable Brother DCP-1612W has a monthly duty cycle of 10,000 pages. With Wi-Fi connectivity as standard, connecting to the unit is easy, even with the use of mobile devices.
Disadvantages
Fax function is not offered as well as an automatic document feeder, even as options. The Brother DCP-1612W can be better if it had a touch display as well as USB host for direct printing of files.
