The Brother HL-1112 laser printer uses an advanced electro-photographic laser printing technology, which ensures superior quality printing at varying speeds. The unit features a USB 2.0 interface for quick data transfer and it offers superb energy-saving capabilities. The Brother HL-1112 laser printer is a good choice for both office and home users although it does not offer any extra functions, making it suitable as a dedicated printer instead of an all-around document handling device.
Design
Built for small office and home use, the Brother HL-1112 laser printer measures approximately 13.4x9.4x7.4 inches. It has a standard memory capacity of up to 1 MB and is capable of accommodating various print media including plain and recycled paper. The Brother HL-1112 laser printer has a maximum paper input capacity of up to 150 sheets, and an output capacity of up to 50 pages. It even has foldable paper trays for convenient storage and it features direct PC controls for convenient printing and queuing.
Advantages
Ideal for basic printing and document production, the Brother HL-1112 laser printer offers average print resolutions of up to 600x600 dpi or up to 2400x600 dpi, using resolution control. First print average is less than 10 seconds, which is quite impressive for a basic laser printer.
Disadvantages
Unfortunately, the Brother HL-1112 laser printer doesn't offer exceptionally fast print rates, although at 20 ppm (for A4 size documents), it is still a viable candidate for a home office or a small workgroup printer. It also lacks networking capabilities, making it more suitable for personal use.
