Built for small offices with high printing needs, the Brother HL-5170dn is a monochrome laser printer with reasonably fast printing speeds and good quality output. It also comes with a built-in duplexer. The Brother HL5170dn has a maximum printing resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and it has an expandable paper handling capacity. This printer also has standard Ethernet connectivity but does not have Wi-Fi.
Design
The Brother HL-5170dn mono laser printer is a cube-like device with an output paper tray on top and paper cassettes at the bottom. The HL-5170dn printer has a multi-sheet tray that can handle 50 sheets and a main paper tray that can handle 250 sheets. The maximum paper handling capacity is 550 sheets. For connectivity, there are USB, Ethernet, and parallel ports on the back of the printer. Print speed can go as fast as 20 ppm for A4 sized media.
