The Brother HL-L8360CDW is a colour laser printer that is affordable enough to use at home, but also ideal in offices and workgroups with a high volume of printing. The range of connectivity options makes this a versatile printer for homes and offices needing to print from a variety of devices. This printer meets tough environmental standards, saving money on running costs as well as helping the planet. The wax-based inks produce smudge free, professional looking documents, although colours in photographs are not quite as accurate as they could be. The compact machine is easy to place, but as there is no scan, copy or fax function it may be necessary to purchase additional devices.

Design

The dimensions of the Brother HL-L8360CDW are 441mm x 486mm x 313mm. Connection is achieved via a USB, network or wirelessly. Print speeds are 31 ppm, the monthly duty cycle is 60,000 pages and print resolution is 600 dpi. For paper storage, a 500-sheet paper tray can be increased up to a maximum of 2,580 sheets if required. Navigate and monitor the printer using the 6.8cm intuitive touchscreen.

Advantages

The Brother L8360CDW is a versatile printer allowing printing on the go thanks to the range of connectivity options, including printing from iOS devices, smart phones and the cloud. Its ecological standards are very high, resulting in financial savings as well as environmental benefits. These include duplex as standard, resulting in considerable paper savings and high yield. Wax-based toners save on ink and produce smudge free documents. The large paper capacity and high yield toners reduce printer down time for refills.

Disadvantages

Although the Brother HL-L8360CDW mostly prints to a high standard, the printing of photographs is of a slightly lower than average quality, resulting in slightly inaccurate colours and some graininess. There is no scanner, copy or fax function on this printer, so additional devices may be needed.
