The Brother MFC-L2740CW is a multifunction A4 laser printer which can print up to A4 size with the ability to fax, copy, and scan. It is a useful printer to have in a small or home office, as well as a family printer. With its small size and quiet operating noise levels, it is easy to place, even in a small space. Setup is straightforward, and with wireless printing it is possible to print from a number of different devices. With its affordable price, this printer is cost effective for low volume printing but as the prices of consumables is on the high side, the costs can be excessive for high volume printing. It is also worth bearing in mind the general lack of security features if printing documents of a sensitive nature.
Design
The Brother MFC-L2740CW is a compact device measuring 440 x 398 x 272 mm and features a smart black casing. Connection is achieved by either ethernet, USB, or wireless interface. Paper is stored in the 250-sheet input tray and there is also a single sheet multi-purpose tray, and a 50-sheet automatic document feeder for easy scanning and copying. Print speed is 30 ppm and print resolution is 2400 x 600 dpi. The device is navigated from a control panel on top including an LCD screen.
