Efficiency meets usability in the small but powerful Canon IR-1435. This monochrome copier can also copy and scan and boasts quick print speeds. It comes with excellent built-in features, including networking connectivity and automatic double-sided printing. This robust model does not offer fax function, even as an option.
Design
The Canon IR-1435 measures 422.5 x 545 x 4357 mm and weighs 22.34kg. It comes with a flatbed scanner, and users have the option to install an automatic document feeder to replace the cover. The output tray is right below the scanner, along with the control panel, which has an LCD display, function buttons, and a numeric keypad. For paper-handling, the Canon IR-1435 comes with a standard input of 600 sheets with 100 sheets for the multi-purpose tray. This can be upgraded to 1,100 sheets with extra trays.
Advantages
Thanks to the standard duplexer, this model can help reduce paper waste. It can also boost productivity as print speed can go as fast as 18spm on duplex and 35ppm on simplex. This unit can continuously copy up to 999 pages. For connectivity, the Canon IR-1435 offers standard USB and Ethernet. An extra USB port is available for direct printing from flash drives.
Disadvantages
The Canon IR-1435 may be quick but its scan and print resolutions can be better. It would also help if a fax feature was offered, even as an external kit.
