Our Verdict:

The multifunction Canon IR-1435i is an ideal copier for small but busy offices. This compact unit not only copies but also prints, scans, and sends. It has a built-in memory of 512MB to help process images. This model also offers standard networking connectivity. Fax is not standard for this model.

Design

The Canon IR-1435i weighs 23.74kg and measures 457.3 x 545 x 457 mm. Its flatbed scanner comes with an automatic document feeder. It also has paper trays, a 500-sheet plain paper tray and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray. The control panel in the middle of the unit comes with a numeric keypad, an LCD display, and function buttons. USB and Ethernet interfaces are at the back of the unit.

Advantages

Thanks to a USB host on the front of the unit, direct printing from flash drives is quick and easy. This model offers a standard duplexer for automatic double-sided printing. Some of the time-saving features of the Canon IR-1435i include multi-copy of up to 999 pages and a built-in automatic document feeder. Users can easily share this unit as it offers standard networking connectivity. For higher volume printing needs, this copier can handle a maximum of 1,100 sheets with optional trays.

Disadvantages

The Canon IR-1435i offers a decent print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi but the same cannot be said for the low scan resolution of 300 x 300 dpi.
