The Canon IR-3225 is an all-in-one monochrome unit that prints, scans, copies, and faxes. It has all that a typical office needs to handle large production tasks. With a monthly duty cycle of up to 24,000 impressions, it can easily accomplish demanding print jobs without fail. The Canon IR-3225 black and white office printer delivers high-quality results, printing high-resolution documents up to 1200x1200 dpi. However, the IR3225 digital copier does not offer very impressive print speeds and it can only print in black and white.
Design
The Canon IR-3225 uses laser printing technology for fast and efficient monochrome printing. It has a rapid fusing system for copying documents at quick rates without losing quality, while scanning is done via a powerful, high-resolution flatbed. The Canon IR-3225 MFP has an automatic document feeder for easier document handling, while its standard RAM is 512 MB, expandable up to 1 GB. The IR3225 laser printer also uses a single black CEXV11 toner cartridge that offers a print yield of approximately 21,000 pages.
Advantages
The Canon ImageRUNNER 3225 multifunction printer is a cost-effective unit. The IR-3225 mono laser printer is not expensive to run and offers an impressive feature set, suitable for busy workgroups. Prints have high-resolutions, while faxes are sent at consistent rates, thanks to its 33.6 Kbps modem. Additionally, the fax has three connective lines for more efficient data sending.
Disadvantages
Print speed is not the strongest quality of the Canon IR-3225 copier. It only delivers up to 25 pages per minute, which is quite slow for a laser printer. The ImageRUNNER IR-3225 printer also lacks colour capabilities and it does not offer memory card or thumb drive support.
