The ideal multifunctional solution for businesses, the Canon IR-4045i not only offers versatile document production functions but cost-cutting qualities as well. The space saving unit offers printing, digital copying, scan and send, and even fax functions. The Canon ImageRUNNER ADVANCE IR-4045i laser printer offers a maximum media capacity of up to 4,980 sheets and it can handle a wide variety of print media. The Canon IR4045i mono photocopier also supports colour scanning, though printing and copying are still limited to black and white outputs.
Design
The Canon IR-4045i ImageRUNNER ADVANCE printer is basically the same machine as the Canon IR-4035i and other models in the series, only it offers faster printing rates. It has great paper capacity and is equipped with very useful features such as the automatic document feeder and duplex unit. The document finishing facility is optional and the Canon IR-4045i multifunction printer comes with a flatbed scanner, which makes it easier to scan hardbound originals. The replacement black toner for the IR-4045i printer has an estimated capacity of 34,200 pages.
Advantages
Some design advantages of the Canon IR-4045i copier printer are truly convenient, including the large touch screen panel that allows easy navigation through printer menus and other functions. There is an automatic duplexer, and the media capacity is expandable to nearly 5,000 pages. Speedier print rates are also among the highlights of the machine, as it is able to print as many as 45 pages in a minute.
Disadvantages
One disadvantage of the Canon IR-4045i mono laser printer is its lack of colour printing capabilities. However, it does offer colour scan and send features. Connectivity is not as versatile either, and unlike other multifunction devices, the Canon IR4045i copier does not have memory card support, due probably to its lack of colour printing features.
