Aimed at small to medium-sized businesses and the home office, the Canon L300 laser fax is an affordable but feature-packed choice that can compete with more expensive and larger fax machines. The Canon Fax-L300 laser printer promises long-term savings, versatility, and ease of use, but it needs a larger display screen, faster print and copy speeds, and a better fax modem.

Design

A compact frame helps users save space, though it weighs 12Kg, which is quite heavy and difficult to move around. There is a 1-line, 16-character display screen in the centre of the control panel, which looks busy with the cluster of buttons. However, there are on-touch controls for ease in speed dialling and operating the fax and copy functions of the Canon L300 fax machine. The input tray and document feeder are on top, while the curved paper path lets media exit in front. The Fax-L300 is designed to use an all-in-one cartridge and this black FX3 toner has a capacity of approximately 2,700 pages.

Advantages

The Canon L-300 is a plain paper copier so output lasts longer.
