Canon PC-428 Printer Review
Expert review of the Canon PC-428 printer
This desktop copier is an excellent choice for a small business or a home office because of its compact size and slim design. Unlike its predecessors, the Canon PC-428 personal copier printer supports a wider range of media types and it offers higher yield for mid-volume printing. However, the PC428 mono laser printer is expensive, sluggish, and doesn't print in colour.
Design
The Canon PC-428 personal black and white copier resembles a typical flatbed scanner. Despite its slim and contemporary build, this device demands more installation space because it is 15.9 inches deep and the paper trays expand to the sides. Still, the Canon personal copier 428 printer is fairly lightweight, weighing approximately 8.21Kg.
Advantages
Apart from plain paper, transparencies, labels, and cards can also be used with the Canon PC-428 copier. The input capacity is 50 sheets and there are manual exposure controls. The 600x600dpi resolution of the Canon PC-428 laser printer ensures crisp and sharp text documents. The device does not take too long to warm up. The PC428 Canon copier can use a cheap aftermarket compatible Canon E30 cartridge for a discount on toner.
Disadvantages
The Canon PC-428 laser copier is quite expensive for a copier with no other functions. With speeds of up to 4ppm, it is slower than the options from the competition. Canon may need to improve the automatic exposure control mechanism of the PC-428 and make it more intuitive. Unfortunately, the Canon PC-428 is unable to handle media that is larger than letter-sized paper.
