The Canon i-SENSYS LBP7010C uses Canon 729 toner cartridges. Canon 729 toner comes in black and multicolour; the black cartridge prints 1,200 pages, the multicolour cartridge prints 1,000 pages.
A small and tidy colour printer - the Canon i-SENSYS LBP-7010c delivers reliable, quality laser colour printing for an affordable price. Although labeled as a small office printer, it is probably more suited as a home device due to its relatively slow print speed and an average paper capacity (150 sheets).
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP-7010c is fairly chunky, standing at 400 x 398 x 223mm - not ideal if you're low on space. Canon haven't put much thought into the design of the LBP-7010c – its dull grey finish is reminiscent of the 1980's – it also lacks any independent printer function buttons or display unit. The plus side to the basic design is that replacing ink is a breeze and takes a matter of seconds.
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP-7010c's main selling point is print quality - colour prints are sharp, whilst text output is clear and crisp – making this printer ideal for anyone who prints a range of different documents. The other advantage of the Canon i-SENSYS LBP-7010c is that's its extremely quiet thanks to the built-in laser technology.
There are many aspects of the i-SENSYS LBP-7010c that are disappointing. The addition of WiFi would have been welcomed with open arms. It's small design is also slightly undersold, with the fact it needs to sit within reach of a USB wire. Secondly print speed is mediocre for a printer with laser technology - billed as being office friendly, 16ppm is extremely disappointing.
