The Epson AcuLaser C2900N is a single function mono and colour laser printer and is aimed at the small businesses market. The C2900N offers excellent print quality thanks to its high print resolution. Furthermore the C2900N can fit into any intricate IT environment thanks to its numerous emulations and interfaces. A disappointing facet of the C2900N is its below average print speed of 23ppm.
Design
The Epson AcuLaser C2900N is fairly unique in terms of it design but at 403.5 (w) x 469.4 (d) x 416.1 (h), mm it may be too big for those of you with limited office space. With size in mind, it's disappointing to see that Epson have only built one, 250 sheet paper tray as standard – with such a low capacity, it's only a matter of time before the printer will need refilling. The front of the laser printer features a small LCD display and a range of function buttons that allow the user to easily navigate the printer's functions.
Advantages
One of the biggest pros of the Epson AcuLaser C2900N is print quality which far exceeds expectations. The printer can handle rich-graphic documents with ease – images appear clear and vibrant. Plain text documents are equally as impressive with crisp, dark lettering. The Aculaser C2900N comes network ready – making it ideal if you wish to add multiple devices on the fly. The Epson AcuLaser C2900N can also help small businesses save money thanks to its low energy consumption.
Disadvantages
Despite the Epson AcuLaser C2900N being a laser printer, print speeds are disappointing. At a maximum rate of up to 23ppm - it may prove to be too slow for busy offices environments. The C2900N may also put off small firms looking to compile costs by opting for a multifunctional device.
