Epson AcuLaser M2400DN Printer Review

Expert review of the Epson AcuLaser M2400DN printer

Our Verdict:
star
star-filled

The large and boxy Epson AcuLaser M2400DN is favoured by small to medium-sized offices for its quick print speeds and high-paper handling capacity. The AcuLaser M2400DN is a speedy mono laser printer and is network-ready, thanks to the built-in Ethernet. The Epson AcuLaser M2400DN printer has a maximum monthly volume of 50,000 pages and a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. However, the AcuLaser M2400DN is a rather bulky device and it does not have Wi-Fi capabilities.

Design

The Epson M2400DN laser printer features an output tray on top and paper cassettes and trays at the bottom. The M2400DN printer also has a control panel with 3 function buttons, including a convenient cancel print job. Indicator lights are also available. For connectivity, an Ethernet port and USB slot are at the back of the printer. The standard input is 300 sheets but it can be expanded to 800 sheets.

Advantages

Workgroups can easily share the Epson AcuLaser M2400DN monochrome laser printer thanks to its built in Ethernet. This printer supports both Macintosh and Windows operating systems. The Epson AcuLaser M-2400DN has an impressive printing speed of 35 ppm, and the first page comes out in as fast as 7 seconds. Aside from its expandable paper handling capacity, the Epson AcuLaser M2400DN also has expandable memory.

Disadvantages

Though the Epson AcuLaser M2400DN printer has Ethernet, it still doesn't have Wi-Fi. The AcuLaser M2400DN is rather bulky and is not very pleasing to the eye. The print quality is also rather low for a laser printer although print speeds are reasonably quick in all fairness.
