The HP Colour Laser 150a uses HP 117A toner cartridges. HP 117A toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 1,000 pages.
The HP Colour Laser 150a is a security-enabled and dynamic multifunction printer that prints, copies and scans at a price that will not break the budget. It is a compact 4x4 designed to fit easily into any office environment and is the smallest printer in its particular class. This means that there is not much effort required to set up the printer and that its inclusion enables any office to remain organised, making it a practical device for all businesses.
The printer’s minimum dimensions are 382mm x 309mm x 211.5mm (width x depth x height), and the maximum dimensions are 382mm x 397.8mm x 274.4mm. The printer weighs 10.04kg. The compact design also includes extendable trays and flaps and appears as a stunningly efficient piece of minimal design. The input tray holds up to 150 sheets, and the output tray holds 50 sheets. The printer uses four toner cartridges – black, yellow, cyan and magenta.
The HP Colour Laser 150a prints 18 pages per minute in monochrome and four pages per minute in colour. The quality of both graphics and text is consistent, with bold images and sharp text page after page and a print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The toner can spread itself evenly and in controlled bursts, avoiding the chance of smearing. The printer has a duty cycle of 20,000 pages per month.
Only original HP cartridges are intended for use in the printer. Although it is possible that the printer may still function with other cartridges, using cartridges that do not possess an HP chip risks not only sudden malfunctions but also the possibility of more severe technical difficulties.
