The HP Colour LaserJet Pro M454dw Printer is a cost-effective, reliable and efficient addition to any office. Its double-sided printing option means less paper is used, and less staff intervention is required to add paper during longer printing runs. Ensuring network safety is enabled with embedded HP Print Security helps secure a workplace's network with automated monitoring, real-time threat detection and software validation, all of which detect and stop attacks if and when they happen.

Design

The HP Colour LaserJet Pro M454dw has dimensions of 412 x 469 x 295 mm without a stand. The USB flash drive port is located in front of the printer for ease of access and it has optional high-capacity trays which allow users to print for longer without having to reload paper frequently. Additionally, the JetIntelligence Cartridge is engineered to help the device print faster and produce up to 33% more pages than previous models.

Advantages

The HP Colour LaserJet Pro M454dw is simple to use and can be set up speedily. It makes it easy to manage device settings in order to help increase printing efficiency. It offers Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, HP ePrint, USB, Wi-Fi, Wireless direct printing and Ethernet networking as connectivity options. Printing from a mobile device means users can work from anywhere, and it has a print speed for black documents of up to 27 ppm with a first page out as quickly as 9.7 seconds. The maximum monthly duty cycle for A4 paper is up to 50,000 pages with a recommended monthly page volume of 750 to 4000 pages.

Disadvantages

The HP Colour LaserJet Pro M454dw is a good all-round basic printer for any office. However, it only has a 150-sheet paper tray in its standard configuration, the Economode print mode is slow, and the USB socket cover may be seen as flimsy.
