HP LaserJet 1320n Printer Review
Expert review of the HP LaserJet 1320n printer
The HP LaserJet 1320N is an excellent tool for the home office or for personal use. This laser monochrome printer can produce a reasonable monthly cycle duty of 10,000 pages and can print up to 22 pages per minute. The HP LaserJet 1320N is capable of printing in a clear resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and uses a Motorola ColdFire 4 133 MHz processor to manage internal print information. The printer is also certified to work with Windows Vista and other Windows operating systems.
Design
The HP LaserJet 1320N has a simple modern design that will fit well into an office. It has dimensions of only 35.05 cm in width, 25.40 cm in height, and a depth of 35.56 cm. Its weight of 11.20 kg makes it simple to move around the office or home. HP 1320N toner is also designed to be used for up to 11,000 pages per high capacity 1320N toner cartridge. This printer uses a 250 sheet input tray that is accompanied by a single sheet multipurpose tray. The 1320N is also designed with a memory expansion slot that is capable of being upgraded up to 144 MB. This will improve performance on the printer and reduce any possible errors during printing. In a network, the HP 1320N can be used as a central station for other computers to print.
Advantages
The LaserJet 1320N also features duplex printing to print on both sides of a page and reduce paper waste. In addition, this printer is not limited to printing on only plain paper. It can also print on cards, bond paper, recycled paper, index cards, heavy-weight paper, labels, envelopes, and transparencies. The HP 1320N is quick and is able to have a print out in 8 seconds. HP 1320N toner is not expensive at all and will cost you only 18£ per replacement.
Disadvantages
The HP 1320N creates 55 decibels of noise during operation which may be too loud for some. Another disadvantage is there is no built-in display on the printer. This can make configuration and setup difficult unless you follow the provided instructions. If you are looking for a printer that can handle high-volume printing, you may want to consider another printer. The 1320N will be best suited for an atmosphere that does not require it to be a workhorse printer.
