It is more efficient with time and resource-saving features for individuals and workgroups, but the lack of colour printing makes the LaserJet 2200DN workgroup printer quite outdated for the needs of modern users.
Design
With a simple design and a sturdy build, the HP LaserJet 2200DN monochrome printer is reliable enough with its 133Mhz processor running on 8MB of standard built-in memory. The device generally measures 10 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and 17.1 inches deep, and weighs 14Kg with the toner cartridge installed. The LaserJet 2200DN printer features 2 paper trays with a 2-sided printing facility, and standard connectivity is provided by a parallel interface. There is room for an Ethernet card and a wireless infrared receiver port.
Advantages
It boasts an infrared port for laptops, an auto-duplexer, and easy data transfer, as well as a network-ready interface so a workgroup can share the HP LaserJet 2200DN. Media handling is quite versatile with a 100-sheet multi-purpose feeder along with the standard 250-sheet input tray. Disadvantages
The HP 2200DN laser printer doesn't have an LCD display screen, which makes it difficult to determine the printer status. The printer manual is only available in CD-ROM and in HTML and PDF formats, which is quite inconvenient. The standard 8MB memory of the HP LaserJet 2200DN printer is insufficient when the device is already being shared by multiple users. Upgrading the device's overall media capacity means spending almost £150 for an extra sheet feeder.
