The HP LaserJet 2420 is an excellent workgroup printer that is suitable for high-volume applications in a small business or a home office. This laser monochrome printer is able to produce crisp documents at a speed of up to 30 pages per minute and with an amazing monthly duty cycle of 75,000 pages, it is known for its workhorse abilities. The HP 2420 can print in a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and uses HP ProRes 1200 technology to enhance images. This printer employs a MIPS MIPS64 20Kc 400 MHz processor and 32 MB of RAM to handle print information and improve speed.
Design
The HP 2420 has a simple two-tone design that is easy on the eye and is a space-saver with dimensions of 42.41 cm in width, 39.87 cm in depth, and a height of 25.90 cm. This printer also is quite sturdy at a weight of 16.28 kilograms. It also features two media feeders that are have a capacity of 350 sheets of paper. This printer connects to a computer using either a USB cord or a parallel connection. Installation is done by inserting a CD and following simple on-screen instructions that will have you printing in no time. When your HP 2420 toner runs out, replacing a new cartridge is easy thanks to HP's design.
Advantages
This printer can print on a variety of media which include cards, plain paper, labels, bond paper, recycled paper, envelopes, and transparencies. There are two additional memory expansion slots to improve memory up to 288 MB and improve performance. The HP LaserJet 2420 is also Microsoft certified for Windows Vista and can be installed on Windows or Mac operating systems. Disadvantages
