One of the more powerful mid-volume laser printers from HP, the HP LaserJet 2420d caters to small workgroups and even homes with multiple computers. It can be used over a network of 5 users, but only with the optional network card. More advanced versions that offer built-in Ethernet are available. The HP LaserJet 2420d offers decent print speeds up to 28 ppm, which is good enough for small business use. The built-in duplex feature allows fast and efficient double-sided printing, saving not only time but paper waste as well. Lack of colour printing capability is still an issue for the HP 2420d laser printer, along with mediocre graphics quality.

Design

The HP LaserJet 2420d printer has a basic design, with a 250-sheet paper tray that easily slides in and out from the bottom of the unit and a top panel where printed pages are delivered. A simple control panel can be found on the right side of the top panel, including an LCD display for checking on printer status.
