Suitable for offices in need of a networkable printer, the HP LaserJet 2420n will meet all monochrome document printing needs of just about any workgroup. It prints at a rate of 30 ppm, which is fast enough for demanding environments. The LaserJet 2420n printer is also very economical to use, although the opposite can be said with its purchasing price, as this model is quite expensive, upfront. While the HP 2420n printer offers built-in networking, this model lacks duplex capabilities, which makes the HP LaserJet 2420dtn a more practical choice, as it includes duplex and network capabilities along with extra paper capacity.
Design
The HP LaserJet 2420n workgroup printer is compact, measuring only 10.2x16.7x15.7 inches. It is relatively lightweight at 33.5 pounds. It has a network interface, in addition to the parallel and USB ports that come as standard with the 2300 printer series. However, the HP LaserJet 2420n laser printer does not offer duplex capabilities, which are only available with the d, dn, and dtn versions, but it does have the standard paper capacity (350 sheets).
