Designed to print black-and white documents efficiently, the HP LaserJet 3020 All-In-One is a high-quality and good value laser printer. It is suitable for average-volume printing and also comes with a copier and a scanner, but lacks the colour printing function that most offices demand nowadays.
Design
This basic all-in-one device is a monochrome printer that uses laser technology. Made specifically for more demanding print jobs, it has a monthly duty cycle of 7,000 impressions. The paper feeder can only handle up to 50 sheets of paper at a time. The HP LaserJet 3020 All-In-One is highly reliant on high-speed USB or parallel connectivity and cannot work as a standalone copier or scanner. The HP LaserJet 3020 All-In-One can also be used with Linux, UNIX, and MS-DOS operating systems.
Advantages
HP improved the standard memory of this printer, giving it 32MB to make it a little faster than its predecessors. The maximum print speed is 15 ppm, and the scanner's resolution can be enhanced to 9600x9600 dpi.
Disadvantages
This device is big and heavy at 26.5 lbs and 14.9 inches tall, and too wide at almost 20 inches. The HP LaserJet 3020 All-In-One's scanner is not that impressive, and the copier could be speedier than 15 ppm in 'normal' mode. The HP LaserJet 3020 All-In-One is also noisy – 56 dBA when operating and 48 dBA when not in use. This printer lacks wireless connectivity and direct printing capabilities, and cannot be integrated into a network.
