HP LaserJet 5000dn Printer Review
Expert review of the HP LaserJet 5000dn printer
The HP LaserJet 5000DN is a large-format printer with networking connectivity. This printer is ideal for offices as it delivers crisp text documents and excellent greyscale images plus offers an HP Jetdirect print server card. The HP LaserJet 5000DN has a monthly duty cycle of 65,000 pages and even comes with the convenience of a duplexer. Print speed is slow, and the HP LaserJet 5000DN monochrome laser printer is a bit outdated by modern standards.
Design
The small control panel on the left-hand side of the LaserJet 5000DN printer consists of a monochrome LCD display and function buttons. The HP LaserJet 5000DN printer has a 36 MB memory and comes with a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, 500 sheet tray, and 250 sheet tray. For connectivity, a parallel port is available, and the HP 5000DN LaserJet also has a print server card for networking.
Advantages
The HP LaserJet 5000DN mono laser printer is easy to use and install and boasts versatile media handling capabilities. This model is compatible with Macintosh and Windows computers and is network-ready. The HP LaserJet 5000DN laser printer can help reduce paper waste in the office as it has an automatic duplexer. Furthermore, the accuracy of LaserJet 5000DN toners with HP technology further reduces any paper wastage from reprints and the 10,000 page black cartridges are very economical.
Disadvantages
When compared to newer laser printer models, the HP LaserJet 5000DN is a bit old as is quite large and bulky. Print speed is slow. The HP 5000DN printer could be better if it had built-in Wi-Fi.
