Our Verdict:

star-filled

Designed for small offices or homes with high-volume printing needs, the HP LaserJet 9000n is a workhorse. This base unit is a monochrome laser printer with a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The HP LaserJet 9000n network printer is capable of printing 300,000 pages every month and it comes with Ethernet for workgroups. However, the HP LaserJet 9000n only has an optional duplexer.

Design

This all-white printer features paper trays that can handle 1100 sheets. The control panel has a small LCD display. Print speed is quite fast at 50 ppm, but the HP LaserJet 9000n can only deliver monochrome prints. The Hewlett Packard 9000n LaserJet printer measures 26 x 27 x 24 inches and it weighs 143.5 lbs.

Advantages

Print jobs are done quickly and users can expect high-quality output from this reliable printer. The HP 9000n laser printer produces crisp documents and sharp greyscale images. The HP LaserJet 9000n workgroup printer is easy to use and boasts plug and play compliance for easy installation. Networking is a breeze as built-in Ethernet is available. Paper handling capacity and the monthly duty cycle is quite high with this workhorse. The toner supplied with the LaserJet 9000n has a capacity of 30,000 pages for frequent use.

Disadvantages

Though duplexing is available, it is an expensive optional upgrade. The HP LaserJet 9000n mono laser printer could be shard by more employees if it also had Wi-Fi instead of just Ethernet.
