The HP LaserJet P2015N has shown itself to be an excellent monochrome laser printer that is suitable for a small office or as a personal printer. This HP printer is able to print up to 27 pages per minute and is capable of putting out the first page within 9 seconds. The HP P2015N uses a Motorola ColdFire 400 MHz processor and also employs 32 MB of RAM to handle multiple print jobs. This printer also runs on 350 watts of energy when fully operational and 7 watts of energy during standby. In addition, the P2015N is able to complete a monthly duty cycle of 15,000 pages and only emits 50 decibels of sound when fully operational. This printer is also able to print on a variety of media which include cards, transparencies, envelopes, glossy paper, labels, and plain paper.
Design
The HP P2015N is a simple two-toned printer that has a box-like appearance, weighs 10.2 kilograms and has the dimensions of 35.05 cm by 36.32 cm by 25.65 cm. It has a top-exit tray that has a 150 sheet capacity. The P2015N's front-load media tray is able to hold up to 300 pages of paper with an optional 250 sheet secondary loading tray as backup.
Advantages
A great advantage to the HP P2015N printer is the ability to print photos in a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The HP P2015N also uses HP ProRes 1200 and HP FastRes 1200 to enhance imagery in photos and enhance colours. This printer also comes with an expansion slot that allows you to upgrade to 288 MB of memory to make printing even faster.
Disadvantages
One of the things that has been commented on about this printer is that the build quality isn't great. The paper trays are weak and are easily susceptible to breakage. In addition, the HP P2015N printer is not the cheapest on the market for its quality. Despite its use of graphics enhancers, another disadvantage to the HP P2015N is the need for improvement on printout quality.
