The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne uses HP 80A toner cartridges. HP 80A toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 2,700 pages.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne is a solution for the small office offering user-friendly operation for everyone in a workgroup. It can be shared via a network without compromising the print speed and overall performance, and the auto duplexer can help save time, but it lacks expandability options.
The understated cube-shaped device weighs 10.65Kg and measures 12.14 inches tall, 24.94 inches deep, and 14.35 inches wide with all the trays extended. Standard connectivity is via Ethernet for networks, or high-speed USB 2.0 for stand-alone operation. There are two paper trays: a 1250-sheet feeder and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray, while the output bin can handle up to 150 sheets at a time. The operator panel has an angled and backlit LCD display.
Apple AirPrint and HP ePrint are supported, allowing users to print directly from their mobile devices and it is easy to set-up the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne within a network. Up to three paper trays can be installed into the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne. It is also eco-friendly with energy saving features and double-sided (duplex) printing capabilities. Users can accomplish impressive print speed of up to 32ppm.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne has a steep initial price, and it can be more expensive to upgrade for additional paper trays. The display screen can be difficult to view because it is too small, and there are no sensors for automatically detecting the paper size and type. The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne could be better if it can print directly from a USB thumb drive or memory cards.
