The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n uses HP 80A toner cartridges. HP 80A toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 2,700 pages.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n mono laser is a more affordable choice for a small to medium-sized office that needs a reliable monochrome printer for document printing needs. Its paper capacity can easily be expanded to accommodate the needs of a growing business, but the absence of a duplexer may affect the LaserJet Po M401n's overall efficiency.
The boxy and understated frame is similar to a close sibling, yet the HP LaserJet Pro 400 Printer M401n differs with a 128MB built-in memory running on an 800MHz processor. The display screen is small and placed on the top right-hand side of the HP LaserJet Pro M401n. This device connects directly to a PC via USB 2.0, but there is an Ethernet port available, too. The standard paper input capacity is 250 sheets with two trays.
Ethernet connectivity, expandable paper handling capacity, and a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray are among the good points of the HP M401n LaserJet Pro printer. Users can print high quality text documents fast, at up to 33ppm. Setting up the printer is a breeze. Surprisingly, the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M-401n prints better graphics and photos in monochrome than other laser printers because of its high 1200x1200dpi resolution. Cheap "aftermarket" cartridges for the LaserJet Pro 400 M401n monochrome laser printer are manufactured by third-parties to save users the expense of purchasing the original HP 80A or HP 80X toner cartridges for this machine.
The HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n printer does not have a duplexer and there are no options for it, too. Running costs are potentially high when using the HP 400 M401n LaserJet to print in bulk. Another issue is the memory, which is not expandable, and the absence of security features, which are crucial for when the device needs to be shared by a group. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity available.
