The combined reliability and speed of the Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn with colour printing capability makes the Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn more reliable for a wide range of tasks in the small and busy office. Higher resolution output means clearer and impressive results on plain paper and specialty media, while double-sided printing, copying, and scanning can save resources. The drawback is that it can be complicated to set up and configure.
Design
The Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn is engineered with the signature Ecosys technology and powered by a 667MHz processor running on 1024MB of memory. The scanner and copier use white LED for reduced power consumption. The base unit weighs 36.5kg with the toner cartridge, and weighs 514mm wide, 550mm deep, and 580mm tall. The input capacity is 250 sheets for the universal paper cassette, 50 sheets for the multi-purpose tray, 150 sheets for the output bin, and 50-sheets for the simplex and duplex scanner feeder. Direct connectivity is via high-speed USB 2.0, while networking is possible with gigabit Ethernet. Two USB 2.0 host ports allow other connectivity options, including printing from or scanning to flash drives. The busy control panel has one-touch job function keys and easy-to-read instructions from the small display screen.
Advantages
The print speed is up to 26ppm in colour and black and white in A4, in up to 9,600dpi with multi-bit technology for sharper and smoother images and text. The Kyocera M6026cdn has a built-in duplexer that works with the scanner, copier, and printer. Private print, Ipsec, and SSL encryption keep sensitive documents secure. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn supports a wide range of card authentication systems.
Disadvantages
This is a heavy and bulky desktop all-in-one that requires a steady surface with additional installation space and headroom. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn does not have Wi-Fi. The scanner does not include an OCR software to convert scanned documents into editable text. The Kyocera ECOSYS M6026cdn is expensive, and users may end up paying extra if they want the SD card reader, SSD hard disc, or the internal print server. There is no fax.
