The Kyocera FS-1220MFP uses Kyocera TK-1115 toner cartridges. Kyocera TK-1115 toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 1,600 pages.
Built for multifunction office use, the Kyocera FS-1220MFP offers printing, copying, and scanning all in one compact unit. The device helps keep printing costs low, thanks to its affordable consumables. The Kyocera FS-1220MFP even offers excellent engine speed, able to produce 20 A4 pages per minute. It has superb print, scan, and copy resolution, and it allows multiple copy production and fast scanning, up to 18 images per minute. However, the Kyocera FS-1220MFP only offers monochrome operation, except when scanning, as it offers full colour scan support.
The Kyocera FS-1220MFP is bulkier than previous Kyocera FS models, though it is still a manageable size at 390 x 333 x 317mm. The flat-bed scanner accounts for the added bulk. It sits on top of the Kyocera FS-1220MFP and it has a comprehensive control panel neatly located in front of the machine. The device has a 250 sheet cassette and it offers a high-speed USB interface for PC connection.
Multifunctionality is the main pull of the Kyocera FS-1220MFP, but it also offers great advantages like high-resolution printing up to 1200 dots per inch, and high speed print rates up to 20 pages per minute. The device boasts reduced noise functionality during operation and it has a large memory capacity - up to 64 MB. Ideal for office use, the Kyocera FS-1220MFP offers reliable multifunction features, including full colour scanning.
Unfortunately, the Kyocera FS-1220MFP does not have colour print and copy support, limiting hard copy production to black and white. This could be frustrating when document has just been scanned in full colour by the same machine. It also has limited output capacity, which can be a hassle when trying to produce large volume prints.
