The Kyocera FS-2020D is a medium-range monochrome laser printer aimed at small offices. This powerful printer delivers output with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, text documents are of good quality and have solid resolution. For connectivity, users may choose from the parallel and USB ports. Networking is only optional and the Kyocera FS-2020D black and white printer has a quite high initial price.
Design
This cube-like unit has an output tray on top and paper trays on the bottom. The control panel on top has function buttons and a monochrome LCD display. The Kyocera FS-2020D mono laser printer has a 500-sheet cassette and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray; with optional paper trays the maximum paper handling capacity is 1,100 sheets. An extra USB port for flash drives is on the front, above the input tray. Print speed can go as fast as 35 ppm for black and white output.
Advantages

The FS-2020D laser printer has low running costs and has a high reliability thanks to a solidly constructed Kyocera FS-2020D printer drum that lasts for an impressive 300,000 pages. The black Kyocera FS2020D toner is the only consumable that needs replacing frequently and this has a yield of 12,000 pages. A compatible Kyocera FS-2020D laser toner made from recycled parts is also available for less.
Disadvantages
More users will be able to use the Kyocera FS-2020D printer if it had built-in networking connectivity. The FS2020D workgroup printer already has a large price tag, when optional Ethernet is added, it will become more expensive than monochrome printers with built-in networking.
