Aimed at small but growing offices, the Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ is a reliable multifunction device with fast processing speeds, high-resolution printing, and advanced security features. It is cheap to run because of low power consumption and reduced printing costs when compared to similar devices from the competition, but some users may find it expensive to purchase and operate on-board.
Design
The Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ is a fairly compact device that measures 580mm tall, 550mm deep, and 514mm wide. The understated and semi-rugged frame measures 36Kg, and it stands out with an automatic document feeder and duplexer on a flatbed scanner, and a busy control panel with a small monochrome display. The device runs on 768MB of RAM, with standard connectivity via high-speed USB 2.0 and fast Ethernet. Paper is handled by a 50-sheet multipurpose tray and a 250-sheet default paper cassette. The output bin can handle up to 250 sheets at a time.
Advantages
The print speed of the Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ is up to 26ppm in both monochrome and colour. Multibit technology makes it support 9600dpi printing. It supports double-sided printing and high-end security measures like card authentication systems and various data encryption platforms. The Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ is also praised for quiet operation and expandable memory of up to 1792MB. Users may also increase the paper capacity to 1,200 sheets with two additional paper cassettes.
Disadvantages
The cluttered control panel can be overwhelming to operate. The default 600x600dpi resolution may not be enough for very detailed graphics. There are no further options to upgrade the paper capacity of the Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ and the absence of direct printing capabilities from USB flash drives and memory cards may compromise its efficiency. The Kyocera FS-C2026MFP+ does not support fax.
