The Kyocera FS-C8525MFP uses Kyocera TK895-3PACK toner cartridges. Kyocera TK895-3PACK toner comes in multicolour; the multicolour cartridge prints 6,000 pages.
Designed for medium to large workgroups, the Kyocera FS-C8525MFP comes with colour and network printing capabilities while promising lower running and ownership costs, as well as user-friendly operation. It has built-in scan and copy functions, too, and it is versatile enough for upgrades, but it is very expensive.
The Kyocera FS-C8525MFP is a tall but fairly compact multifunction machine that weighs approximately 80Kg. Standing 748mm tall and measuring 590mm in both length and width, the device requires additional installation space because of the front-loading paper feeders including a 500-sheet paper cassette and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray. The output bin can handle up to 280 sheets. The operator panel is small but easy to use because of the 4.3-inch colour touchscreen. Standard connectivity is via high-speed USB 2.0, but there are Ethernet and host USB 2.0 ports, too.
This is a fast machine that can print in speeds of up to 25ppm on A4-sized sheets, with the first copy ready in 11 to 14 seconds or less. The maximum paper capacity of the Kyocera FS-C8525MFP is 1,600 sheets, and users can save resources by using the built-in duplexer. Network printing is also supported, and users may print directly from a USB thumb drive. The Kyocera FS-C8525MFP supports advanced security and data encryption systems, so it is safer to share in a workgroup.
The main setback in the Kyocera FS-C8525MFP is the high initial price, and it can get expensive with upgrades like additional paper handling, memory, and the print server. Fax is optional, too, but it does not have too many features. The limited 600x600dpi resolution may compromise the quality of very detailed graphics and text.
