The Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i uses Kyocera TK-6305 toner cartridges. Kyocera TK-6305 toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 35,000 pages.
Designed for fast and efficient document production in large offices, the Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i can work in speeds of up to 45ppm with higher RAM and increased security measures, especially when this multifunction printer is shared over a network. It is easily expandable with fax and finishing options, but it is expensive and it does not print in colour.
The Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i has an understated appeal with a noticeably large colour touch panel as its centrepiece. It weighs 82kg and measures 668mm wide, 747mm tall, and 767mm deep, with 2048MB of RAM and 800MHz of dual core processing power. A built-in 160GB of hard disk space enables storage and security features. There are two 500-sheet universal paper cassettes and a 150-sheet multi-purpose tray for standard media handling. The output bin can handle 250 sheets, but the capacity is upgradeable to 4,300 sheets. The standard interfaces are fast Ethernet, a USB host port, and high-speed USB 2.0.
It can print on 305 x 1200mm banner sheets. Multi-bit technology can enhance print quality to a resolution of 9,600dpi for sharper and crisper results. Duplexing is standard. It is fast and secure, with standard colour scanning and network printing. Users may expand the Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i to include dual, internet, or network fax, as well as optional OCR. There are finishing options that can make it easier to make booklets and brochures. Reliable and efficient long-life components can minimise maintenance and running costs. The Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i is easy to configure. The maximum input capacity is 7,150 sheets. The 33.6kbps fax supports super G3.
The Kyocera 4501i requires more installation space because of its large and bulky frame. It is expensive, it lacks colour printing, and the default resolution is insufficient for producing smoother, non-grainy images. Upgrading the Kyocera TASKalfa 4501i can be costly.
