The Lexmark CS820de allows home and small office users to benefit from a highly efficient printer that produces professional quality documents at a great value price. This fantastic standard printer brings the benefits of Lexmark technology to a wider audience, so that everyone can make use of their expertise. It features a 1.33GHz quad-core processor that has 1GB of memory, to provide a powerful piece of equipment in a compact device.
Design
The Lexmark CS820de is controlled through the 4.3" colour touchscreen on the top of the printer, which is easy to use and gives customers a wide range of options. Lexmark want to help their customers be more environmentally responsible and they have looked at ways that their printers can save money, energy and paper, to provide a low carbon footprint for each page that is printed.
Advantages
The output capabilities of the Lexmark CS820de can be adapted to meet the individual needs of a user, with the standard setup capable of accommodating 650 pages and the option to increase this to 4,500 pages. The printer can handle an extremely broad range of media for such a compact unit – from very thin paper through to thick card – and it also includes the option of an inline staple finisher, so documents can be professionally printed and finished in one go.
Disadvantages
The start-up time of the Lexmark CS820de from hibernation mode is around seven seconds, which is not as fast as some of the other models on the market. This printer has the ability to staple in one position, but it does not have any additional finishing options. There is no hard disk included, but this is available as an extra feature.
