The Lexmark CX-820dtfe is a colour laser multifunction printer with a hard disk that works well in the corporate environment to enable its user to print bulk documents within a short period of time. The printer uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure all documents and images are printed in high resolution and can print up to 200,000 copies per month. With a maximum memory of 4MB, this printer can store a lot of information before requiring a hard disk, although one is incorporated into the design.
Design
The Lexmark CX820dtfe includes 2 550-sheet trays, an inline staple finisher and caster base, 550-Sheet Input, a 300-Sheet Output Bin and can has space for black, cyan, magenta, yellow toner cartridges. It has wheels on its base, enabling you to move the printer with ease as it can be bulky when removing or inserting paper from the different trays. The printer also supports a wide variety of media sizes, including DL envelopes, index cards, folios letter, A6, A4, A3 and A5 paper as well as JIS-B5.
Advantages
As the Lexmark CX-820dtfe has wheels on its base, it is easy to move and place the printer where it does not crowd the workspace. The top-tier scanning starts with a 1200dpi charge-coupled device (CCD)-based scan quality for colour and information accuracy, then adds automatic size sensing and technologically advanced multi-feed detection to ensure that every page intended for use is successfully scanned and stored in the correct place.
Disadvantages
As the Lexmark CX820dtfe has dimensions of 44.8 x 25.54 x 23.15in and weighs 297lbs, it can be very heavy to move around and manoeuvre when a paper jam is detected. The touchscreen is also very awkwardly placed and can be difficult to operate while printing is in progress.
