The Lexmark E350dn is a high-speed workgroup laser printer that is perfect for high-volume printing. It combines complex, specialised as well as general office printing in one machine, is a cheaper option compared to larger and more expensive devices, and can be placed close to users. The multifunction options allow for reliability plus affordability while simultaneously offering the convenience of fax, copy and colour network scanning capabilities.
Design
The printer offers duty cycles of up to 225,000 pages per month, and its standardised printing platform across similar models allows for easily installed common supplies, applications, paper handling options and media types. It weighs 24.1kg, and the dimensions are 460 x 436 x 613mm, providing black print resolutions of 1200 x 1200 dpi, 300 x 300 dpi, 600 x 600 dpi and 1200 Image Quality. The operating noise level is 34 dBA when idle and 58 dBA while printing.
Advantages
The Lexmark E350dn offers fast printing of up to 43 pages per minute for A4 size as well as a fast first page out speed of 8.5 seconds. Specialised business requirements are built into the design, including two new standard fonts, PDF printing, bar code, and Optional Character Recognition (OCR). Lexmark’s optional software means that it is ideal for tailored printing solutions for businesses of all sizes. The media types supported include paper, vinyl labels, transparencies, envelopes and card stock. It has an input capacity of 600 to 4,100 pages of 75 gsm bond paper, and an output capacity of between 500 and 3,000 pages. Supported operating systems include Windows 2000, Windows 98 2nd Edition, Windows XP and Windows 7.
Disadvantages
