The Lexmark M3150dn is a laser printer that is ready to connect with a network out of the box. To manage longer and more complex print runs with ease, it is complete with a powerful 800 MHz dual-core processor as well as 256MB of memory. It is compatible with a large range of paper sizes and media which include transparencies, envelopes, labels, card stock and plain paper. As a desktop printer, it is suitable for homes where a range of reports, essays and documents are regularly produced. However, it can also cope with the demands of a professional office with a small to medium workforce.
Design
The Lexmark M3150dn measures 15.7 x 15.6 x 12.1 inches and weighs 35.71lbs, so it is relatively easy to reposition if two people work together. The monthly duty cycle is a maximum of 150,000 impressions. The duplex printing function is internal and can be used at the touch of a button. When users need to transfer information from or to the printer, they can do this with a memory stick as there is a USB Direct Interface. Functions are controlled from a 2.4-inch LCD colour display screen, making it easy for staff to navigate through tasks and select the one they need.
Advantages
This workgroup printer has a time to first print of just 6.5 seconds and it can reach speeds of up to 50 ppm in monochrome. The maximum print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi. To ensure staff can easily complete longer print jobs and leave them to run, there is a 550-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray. As this printer is Energy Star certified, users can be confident that it uses energy efficiently.
