The Lexmark MS710dn uses Lexmark 520Z toner cartridges. Lexmark 520Z toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 100,000 pages.
Versatile media handling is the specialty of the Lexmark MS710dn, which makes it suitable for workgroups that would like to produce a wide range of projects from narrow and small formats to UV-resistant outdoor media. Apart from that, the printer is notably fast and efficient to increase productivity and minimise downtime. This model is a bit expensive and cannot print in colour, however.
The Lexmark MS710dn is a workhorse with a powerful engine that powered by an 800MHz processor that runs on 512MB of memory. The boxy frame measures 15.4 inches tall, 20.1 inches deep, and 16.7 inches wide, and weighs approximately 23.17kg. The operator panel's centrepiece is the 2.4-inch colour LCD display. The MS710dn can handle up to 350 sheets, and the output is 550 sheets. The standard ports are high-speed USB 2.0, gigabit Ethernet, a USB host port, and an internal card slot.
It can print in speeds of up to 50ppm, with the first page ready in eight seconds. Double-sided printing is reasonably fast, at up to 31ppm. The Lexmark MS710dn creates sharp and crisp results with 1200dpi image quality. It is easy to use and configure. The paper capacity is upgradeable to 4,100 sheets, and the memory can be increased to 2560MB. The MS710dn can print on a wide range of media types, including smaller and narrow labels. There is a built-in pick mechanism that consistently delivers output for larger jobs.
The initial price of the Lexmark MS710dn is slightly higher than other similar Lexmark printers. It can print only in monochrome. The design is outdated. Operational noise can become a problem with the Lexmark MS710dn.
