The Lexmark XC9235 uses Lexmark 24B6846 toner cartridges. Lexmark 24B6846 toner comes in cyan; the cyan cartridge prints 30,000 pages.
The Lexmark XC9235 is a multifunction colour printer which offers printing, scanning, copying and faxing facilities, along with a number of finishing options. To ensure that it maintains speed and accuracy on longer runs, there is a 1.2 GHz quad core processor backed up by 2GB of memory which can be upgraded to 4GB. The paper handling includes two separate 500-sheet input trays and a 250-sheet output tray, as well as a multipurpose feeder and integrated duplexing. This versatile machine is suited to medium and large workgroups which produce business documents, marketing materials and reports on a regular basis. It is compatible with a wide range of paper sizes and media, including card stock, labels, envelopes and vinyl.
Measuring 36.2 x 24.2 x 27.4 inches and weighing 239lb, the Lexmark XC9235 is quite a large machine which could be difficult to manoeuvre once in place. Its monthly duty cycle can reach a maximum of 200,000 pages. In terms of connectivity, this unit has a Gigabit Ethernet connection and a USB 2.0 port on the front. This makes it easy for staff to transfer and print out a range of documents, without having to log on to a console first. A 10-inch colour interface, powered by Lexmark’s eTask software, makes navigating through apps and functions simpler.
The Lexmark XC9235 can produce around 35 ppm when printing in colour or monochrome and the time to the first page is 6.8 seconds. Its maximum dpi is 1200 x 1200, over colour and monochrome copies. Finishing can save staff time, especially when lots of material is being produced. This unit has hole punching, tri-fold, booklet and saddle stitch options to boost productivity.
Although the Lexmark XC9235 has the option to connect through Wi-Fi, this is not included as standard and the card will have to be purchased separately.
